Exploring Best Practices: How Technology Transforms Grant Program Delivery

The GCMA second annual conference will enable participants to review, refine and report best practices in grant program design and delivery, and share the transformative role of technology. At the conference, we address questions such as:

    1. What is a framework for capturing best grant program management practices? GCMA will provide a high level framework for capturing best practices, a framework being used to build a body of knowledge on grant and contribution program management. Participants will work together to review that framework, identify any gaps, and then discuss how a grants management body of knowledge can be assembled
    2. How is technology transforming grant program delivery? Learn about how technology can reduce the client burden (application, reporting), integrate risk to make service delivery more efficient, and improve the ability to capture results information to understand program impact.
    3. What best practices does my program have to share? How does that align with the framework?
Based on input from presenters working in programs across Canada, participants will discuss how they have improved client service, reduced service delivery costs and better tracked and reported on program results. Through interactive workshop sessions, we will explore how your program experience can inform those practices and learn about potential new, proven approaches to improve program design and delivery.
